The FALSE function is a simple but somewhat obscure function that is primarily for compatibility with other spreadsheet programs. You can also type the text "false" or "FALSE" directly onto the worksheet or into the formula, and Excel interprets it as the logical value FALSE.

FALSE takes no required arguments and no optional arguments:
